I have been working in the retail industry since 2008, so I feel that I have a lot of experience in the workplace. As well as this, I am currently undertaking a Lever 3 Creative Media BTEC in Games Design. This course will last until 2014, so I am free to work part time until then. Career Summary

Supervisor at Shakin’ It Limited, June 2008 – Present

I got offered the job at Shakin’ It after participating a week of work experience in April 2008. After working for a year I got promoted to Shift Leader, then Supervisor.

This involves:

• ·         Opening the shop and checking safe balance and shop utilities
• ·         Making sure the shift runs smoothly and fairly
• ·         Giving crew members breaks
• ·         Maintaining health and Safety and food hygiene
• ·         Dealing with complaints
• ·         Place and receive orders
• ·         Close shop and cash up days money

Shakin’ It is a very socialising job as you are always in view of customers. The basic skills I have learned include: food hygiene, till use, milkshake production and cash handling.
