3Ds Max First Model - Sword
My very first model made on Max after watching some online tutorials.
I've not got the hang of texturing yet so it's not very professional yet. Still learning all the basic tools.

My new blog!
Just a quick message, I have set up a sister blog independently containing my art portfolio as well as other art related items.
http://www.joshjamesart.blogspot.co.uk/
A check out and share would be amazing. I will be continuing to post on this as my main college and work portfolio.

3D MAYA Asset: Barrel
Started merging
Mudbox with Maya at college, here is the first stage of making a barrel
on Maya. Hopefully these can be used in the FMP as an actual game asset,
though the texture may need to change..
Here's the basic cylinder I started off with.
I started off by bevelling the top and bottom, then adding loops to give it that bloated look.
This is the texture I found off the internet.
Texturing once again was a pain. This time I had to use the cylindrical and camera view selection to layer it properly over the texture on the UV screen.
And here is the finished product on Maya. Hopefully next week we will move this onto Mudbox to make it realistic.
